Mission
Between 1998 and 2017, earthquakes caused nearly 750,000 deaths worldwide, more than half of all natural disaster-related deaths. More than 125 million people were affected by earthquakes during this period, meaning they were injured, made homeless, displaced or evacuated during the emergency phase of the disaster.
We have worked with nonprofit and for-profit communities to create solutions for the used market. From used clothing and home goods to store returns and unique “one-off” products, we are building relationships with organizations in Turkey, Syria and Iraq.
The mission of Swiss-tex GmbH "Clothing with a Conscience" is to educate, support and encourage communities and individuals to promote ecological progress through the ethical and responsible collection of second chance clothing, shoes and household items. On the wholesale side, as a used clothing broker, we look for new and innovative ways for charities to generate revenue to fund important community programs. We work with our customers to find quality used products and stock returns for both the domestic and international markets. We partner with charities, collectors, thrift stores and more in over 27 countries and work with our customers to minimize the environmental impact of used clothing.
Last year we moved over £90million of used goods around the world, keeping them out of landfill and creating a brighter future for the second-hand industry.
